The CIVA (Comité Interprofessionnel des Vins d’Alsace) is dedicated to promoting Alsace wines on the international stage and sharing knowledge about the region with the world.
Alsace’s winemaking focuses on traditional grape varieties, precisely defined vineyard sites, and meticulous craftsmanship, all expressed through the appellations AOC Alsace, Alsace Grand Cru, and Crémant d’Alsace. In addition to the Grands Crus, the Lieux-dits single vineyard sites that produce wines with a strong local identity and under the highest standards play an especially important role.
From mineral-driven Rieslings and complex Pinot Gris to elegant Pinot Noirs with Grand Cru aspirations, the diversity and depth of Alsace wines reflect a region that lives its tradition while innovating for the future.
