Concert in the Meadow: Thilo Seevers

The young pianist Thilo Seevers will be performing at the Dorli Muhr Winery on July 25, transporting visitors into a world of musical reflection.

Music to close your eyes to. At the age of eleven, Thilo Seevers won first prize at the international Steinway competition in Hamburg. Since then, he has performed all over the world, from Brazil to Estonia, in small salons and soccer stadiums.

Thilo Seevers processes the impressions from all these travels and experiences in compositions that seem very intimate and contemplative. Enraptured and vulnerable, he quotes European, American, and West African music, improvising on Bach and the sacred music of his childhood. The result is a unique cosmos that invites you to close your eyes as soon as he sits down at the piano. The pianist himself does the same.

The concert will take place outdoors if possible. Guests will be seated on the lawn. Blankets can be provided, but please wear weather-appropriate clothing and appropriate footwear.

Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed.

About Weingut Dorli Muhr

Dorli Muhr, who for three decades has led the internationally renowned agency Wine+Partners, founded her own estate in 2002. The heart of the estate is a 0.17 hectare parcel that her grandmother received as a wedding gift in 1918. Plot by plot, Dorli Muhr has acquired sites on the Spitzerberg with notably mature Blaufränkisch vines. She transitioned her vineyards to organic and founded a new, extra-gentle vinification method to encourage the finest, most elegant expressions of the Blaufränkisch variety. In 2019, the Spitzerberg received its Erste Lage classification by the Österreichische Traditionsweingüter.
