On the first weekend in May, Wachau wineries open their cellar doors and invite you to taste the new 2023 vintage.
When spring arrives in the Wachau, the top winegrowers again invite you to the traditional tasting weekend, the 'Weinfrühling' (Wine Spring). Open cellar doors on 4 and 5 May are dedicated to the 2023 vintage, which you can taste and get to know for two days at the participating wineries. The ticket price includes free use of the Wachau bus lines, Wachau rail and the Danube ferries on both days of the event.
One of the highlights of the Wachau Wine Spring is the 'Steinfeder Night' on 4 May. Winegrowers, wine lovers and connoisseurs come together at Spitz castle to celebrate with wine, gourmet food, music and an exuberant atmosphere.
