Simonit&Sirch Vine Master Pruners will host a two-day Pruning Festival in Tuscany featuring a conference on one of the most important issues for vineyards – water – as well as an exciting pruning contest.

The pruning contest on 16 March is the cornerstone of a day dedicated to 'savoir faire in the vineyard', with free admission to all: pruners, vineyard workers, farmers, families and outdoor enthusiasts. It will take place in the vineyards of San Felice, which has been applying the Simonit&Sirch pruning method for years and hosts the Simonit&Sirch Academy Pruning School. The competition is open to all those who wish to demonstrate their precision of pruning cuts and speed. More than one hundred pruners are expected to participate, competing in individual and team competitions.

Vine & water

The day before, on 15 March, there will be a technical conference entitled 'Vine and Water: Sustainable Design', with leading international speakers. Professors and viticultural experts from France and Italy will speak about topics ranging from regenerative viticulture, the central role of soil in mitigating the effects of climate change and slope viticulture. Marco Simonit, the CEO and co-founder of Simonit&Sirch will round out the day's speeches with an address entitled 'Vine&Vineyard: tailor-made design for the territory'.
