The members of the Traditional Wine Estates of Austria (ÖTW) open their cellar doors at the beginning of May and invite you to taste the new 2023 vintage - with an extensive supporting programme and magnum party on 4 May.
Participants in the Tour de Vin 2024 can taste the new vintage from the 77 winegrowers of Traditional Wine Estates of Austria from the seven appellations of Kamptal, Kremstal, Traisental, Wagram, Vienna, Thermenregion and Carnuntum. After the opening event at the Stadttheater Baden on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be dedicated to the motto "taste | chat | buy", including an extensive supporting programme with cellar tours, vineyard walks, sparkling wine workshops and culinary offerings.
Two highlights
The kick-off event 'Wine in the Theatre' will take place on Friday at the Stadttheater Baden. Here, the "young" ÖTW members from the Thermenregion, Carnuntum and Vienna regions will present their village and Erste Lage (Premier Cru) wines as part of a tasting.
The second highlight of the Tour de Vin is the now legendary Magnum Party at the Minoritenkirche concert hall in Krems. It takes place on Saturday and promises wine enjoyment on a grand scale, as each winemaker brings along their favourite wine in a magnum.
