In late October, Austrian Wine will host an exciting competition to honour the most outstanding sommeliers in the provinces of Ontario and Québec in Canada.

This demanding competition is open to all sommeliers in the regions of Ontario and Québec, provided that they have successfully qualified through an online examination. Following this initial step, qualified participants have the opportunity to take part in an exclusive seminar led by the renowned wine expert, Isabel Bordeleau. This seminar provides them with the chance to deepen their knowledge of Austrian wine.

Those who have proven themselves in the first round in Montréal will advance to compete for victory in the second round in Toronto on October 31st. The winner will have the unique opportunity to travel to Austria as part of VieVinum 2024. There, they can immerse themselves in the captivating world of Austrian wine and gain deeper insights into the wine country of Austria.
