The next chapter in the long history of Zurich's Baur au Lac will open in summer 2024. The new restaurant will be a place where you can feel at home. 'Marguita' is all about enjoying a Mediterranean lifestyle, where eating and having a good time together are part of everyday life. Mediterranean cuisine, with all its wonderful ingredients and dishes, is at the centre of this – and justifiably so, given it is on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list. But it's about much more than just the dishes - it's about connecting, talking, sharing, being human.

She currently manages sommelier world champion Marc Almert, the culinary think tank Koch.Campus, the Styrian wineries Weingut Muster.Gamlitz, Weingut Langmann and the STK wineries, the culinary concept store Kärntnerei and the Kozlović wine estate in Istria.

About Marguita

Marguita restaurant will open at Baur au Lac in summer 2024 and is inspired by the Mediterranean lifestyle. The extended terrace with a view of Lake Zurich in the picturesque park of Baur au Lac rounds off the unique feel-good ambience. The restaurant and terrace have been designed with great sensitivity by star designer Martin Brudnitzk. The menu will feature classic Mediterranean dishes, cleverly interpreted by head chef Maximilian Müller. These will be accompanied by selected wines from head sommelier Marc Almert. Restaurant manager Aurélien Blanc will provide the usual excellent service.
