Arlberg Weinberg 2024 to scale fresh viticultural heights

by Dorli Muhr
Sascha Speicher, Jancis Robinson, Stephan Reinhardt at Arlberg Weinberg

Arlberg in the Austrian Alps is best known for being the cradle of alpine skiing. But what makes it truly unique is the quality of its offerings after you leave the slopes. This alpine playground is world-renowned for its array of award-winning restaurants and stunning cellars. Which makes it the perfect location to host the annual ‘Arlberg Weinberg’ wine and gourmet event series at the start of the winter season from 5-15 December 2024.

The centrepiece of the event is the Arlberg Weinberg symposium, where journalists, legendary winemakers and viticultural experts from around the globe gather in Lech to explore the latest trends in the world of wine, taste carefully curated Austrian and international wines, forge new contacts and revive old friendships.

This year’s themes promise to be more topical than ever, featuring an all-star line-up of speakers and guests from the role of water in vineyards amid a changing climate and whether terroir and natural wines are diverging to a focus on the wonders of the Sauvignon Blanc variety.
